What is the CAZ Charge?
The Clean Air Zone charge known as the CAZ charge is an initiative being introduced by the UK Government to improve air quality in some of the busiest cities. Their aim is to discourage the use of older, more polluting vehicles.
When does CAZ Charge start?
Currently only 2 UK cities have been approved for the CAZ Charge. More UK towns and cities are also considering the CAZ charge. Bath on 15 March 2021 Birmingham on 1 June 2021How much is the CAZ Charge?
Vehicles that do not meet the requirements will need to pay the CAZ charge.
Bath: Cars £9 | Lorry or Bus £100
Birmingham: Cars £8 | Lorry or Bus £50
CAZ Charge Times
Similar to the London ULEZ Charge. The CAZ Charge Zone will be active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This will be from midnight to midnight, so drivers entering the zone just before midnight on one day and remaining inside after midnight would be required to pay for two days.How to pay CAZ Charge
Once the CAZ charge is active, you will need to pay it online via the gov.uk website.
